Who are we?
We are a group of Iranian biologists from inside and outside Iran. Our goal in organizing this program is to help Iranian undergraduate students who are interested in biological sciences to pursue their curiosity and nurture their interests.
Zistyar Program Process
During this program, each student studies in their field of interest under the guidance of a mentor (one of us!). The program lasts 2 months, during which the student meets with their mentor virtually every 1-2 weeks. The mentor will help the student study important resources in their field of interest, and the student discusses their studies and thoughts with the mentor. The following steps of this process are briefly explained:

Registration
By filling out the registration form, you share information about yourself, your expectations from the program, and your topics of interest with us. Filling out the registration form does not mean acceptance into the program.

Selection
We do our best to match students with mentors whose interests and expectations from the program are compatible. Selection results will be announced to students via email.

Mentor Meetings
After the selection results are announced, the student and the advisor will coordinate to hold a follow-up meeting. The details of the meeting and the mode of communication will be decided between the advisor and the student based on their circumstances. Most of the meetings will be online, but in-person meetings with the advisor may also be possible.

Group Sessions
In addition to individual meetings with mentors, group sessions, including study circles, lectures, and online gatherings will be held.

Final presentations
At the end of the course, each student will present a summary of their studies in the form of a 10-minute presentation and a short text.
